Last Day...Pack the bow and -Pick up the skulls and get them to UPS in Livingston:  Along with my Horned doe from last year all headed back to NC . Thank You to Montana Taxidermy in Big Timber, MT.

Boulder River Valley south of Big Timber is a beautiful place to be!

Hunted hard in snow over the next several days to no avail...

Yes those are deer scattered just beyond my feeding elk decoy...decoy was at 25 yards so most were less than 50 yards away.

Another Hike back up the Mountain near Nye MT... Set up on a wallow near a open meadow...keeping my fingers crossed.

Beautiful Day and a gorgeous if ominous sunset. Try again tomorrow.

Things could get interesting ? Some areas just north of me predicted to get 2 to 3 FT ...

Back at it hiking in again !

 @ 1800 FT elevation change from valley floor ...tough and steep but beautiful to get to the ELK.

Called a 4x5 into 150 yards near dusk ...bugling his head off....

If  i'd have had another 75 Yards ?? who knows

September 25th

Got Antelope to the processor by 4:30 , quick run back to get arrow restocked and head out for evening hunt. Decided to forgo the blind and opted to hide out in a haystack and see what came by after seeing 12 to 15 Bucks file past evening before.

This is the blind set up for deer hunt...said haystack can be see in the far left middle of this picture about 250 to 300 Yards from blind.

Rain coat and hunting pack made a nice stand up blind in the bales,

This nice wide MT 8 Point whitetail gave me a shot with about 10 Minutes shooting light left.

Great location in an Air B&B near Nye MT

Relocated from Nye MT over to Big Timber MT today.

Heavy Frost to start the day

Never get tired of the MT panoramas...just traveling leads to spectacular sights!

Made it to the blind after bumping a herd of Antelope on the initial stalk. They headed in general direction of blind so i circled and got to blind without getting spotted.

Original Stalk started at 10am then waited in blind till almost 3pm and i finally got in range of my first Montana Buck Antelope.
